Triathlon Road/Path/Park Multi Day / Stage Race

The Ultraman World Championships is a 3-day 320-mile (515-kilometer) individual ultra-endurance event which takes place on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Entry is limited to 40 participants and is by invitation only. Founded in 1983, the event is held annually on the traditional Thanksgiving Weekend.

Distances/Events

Day one:
6.2 mile ocean swim
+ 90 mile cross country bike ride

Day two:
171.4 mile bike ride

Day three:
52.4 mile double marathon run

Location map

Stage 1 starts with an ocean swim from Kailua Bay to Keauhou Bay followed by a bike ride to Keauhou Bay. Stage 2 continues the bike to Kapa’a Beach Park. The double marathon Stage 3 finishes at the Old Airport Park.
